The Massachusetts Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time lecturer in French, initially appointed for three years with possible multiple renewals based on performance, beginning fall 2012 (Appointment to begin July 1, 2012). Candidates must have 3 years of proven experience in language teaching at the college or university level and demonstrated interest in pedagogy, curriculum design, and the development of learning materials (print, audio, video, or digital). Responsibilities will include teaching and developing materials for French courses at the undergraduate level, designing curriculum, and advising students. Minimum of M.A. or equivalent and native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in French and English is required.
