Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma Type: Part-time for 2011-12 academic year only Deadline: March 1st, 2011 Open Until Filled?: Description: Gender and Women’s Studies at Oklahoma State University seeks graduate student applicants for a Dissertation Fellow/Lecturer in Gender Studies for the academic year 2011-12. Expected teaching load includes 2 core courses (Feminist Theories and Introduction to Gender Studies or Transnational Women’s Studies) and 2 topics classes in the candidate’s area of expertise. Gender and Women’s Studies at Oklahoma State University is a small program devoted to expanding horizons for women, GLBTQ individuals, and people of color in Oklahoma. The successful candidate should demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching and the ability to work well with others in our feminist research community. “ABD” doctoral candidates and interdisciplinary scholars are preferred. Women and minority candidates are especially encouraged to apply. Stillwater is a quiet, inexpensive place to teach and write a dissertation. We offer a private office, personal computer, stipend of $20,000 for the year, and a $500 travel allowance.
