The Diana R. POSITION: The School of Social Work invites applications for the position of Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Development in a tenure-track faculty position, at the Associate Professor or Professor level, beginning August 2017.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have an MSW or equivalent degree from a CSWE-accredited program, PhD or its equivalent, enthusiasm for the mission of the Garland School of Social Work, an active Christian faith, and demonstrated ability to pursue a rigorous research agenda with commensurate publications and extramural funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The position will include teaching at two or more levels - undergraduate, graduate, and PhD. The position requires active involvement in the life of the faculty and school through strategic and operational functions in regards to faculty research and development.
Responsibilities include: promoting opportunities for extramurally funded research, strengthening faculty research initiatives, fostering student involvement in research, supervising PhD program directors and staff related to research and extramural funding, organizing research workshops, encouraging faculty to apply for grants, overseeing faculty sabbatical and release time processes, establish and maintain strong relationship with the Associate Provost for Research, Office of Sponsored Research and other appropriate University committees and interfacing with Communications and Marketing Office, PhD Committee and Research Committee.
RANK AND SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
